Lady in Red Hydrangea is a compact double-flowered deciduous shrub with red stems that sport glossy serrated dark green leaves with red veins and turn reddish-purple in fall. The double lacecap flowers open pinkish white regardless of the soil PH and matures to lush burgundy rose in summer. These flowers are attractive to butterflies and pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Lady in Red is highly mildew resistant.
