Kentucky Coffeetree is a native deciduous tree with an attractive irregular habit. The large, deep blue green compound leaves emerge pink bronze and turn yellow in fall. As it is dioecious, the size white panicles in summer depends on gender, and female trees produce pods. Grows best in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. Tolerates drought, occasional flooding, and urban conditions.
