Koehne Holly is a fast-growing evergreen tree with an upright pyramidal habit and large glossy dark green leaves that emerges with a purple red tint. Of pollinated, inconspicuous but fragrant spring flowers way to bright red fruits in fall which lasts through winter. Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.
