Albury Purple St. John's Wort is a compact spreading deciduous shrub with twiggy upright stems and lace-shaped dark plum and dark green foliage that are aromatic when bruised. Clusters of fragrant yellow flowers with bushy stamen bloom in summer and are followed by red berries that mature to black in fall. Best bloom in full sun and well-drained soils. Heat and drought tolerant once established.
