Shaggy Shield Fern is a semi-evergreen fern that has an upright vase habit. Shaggy Shield Fern has stiff leathery fronds with black hair-like scales covering the rachis. Thrives in rich, moist, acidic soils with some shade. Tolerates drought once established.
