White Pine, scientifically known as Pinus strobus, is a majestic evergreen tree native to eastern North America. Here's some information about it:

  1. Appearance: White Pine is a large tree that can reach heights of 50-80 feet (15-24 meters) or more, with a spread of 20-40 feet (6-12 meters). It has a straight trunk and a pyramidal shape when young, gradually becoming more rounded with age. The bark is smooth and grayish-brown, developing furrows and ridges as the tree matures.

  2. Foliage: The needles of White Pine are soft, flexible, and bluish-green in color. They are arranged in bundles of five, measuring about 2.5-5 inches (6-13 cm) in length. The needles persist on the tree for several years before eventually shedding.

  3. Cones: White Pine produces long, cylindrical cones that are typically 4-8 inches (10-20 cm) in length. The cones are green when young and turn brown as they mature. They contain winged seeds that are dispersed by wind.
