Flowers attract bees and butterflies. Mildew resistant variety.
Monarda didyma is a native host for several moths, including Gray Marvel and Hermit Sphinx. The flower nectar also attracts other pollinators, bees, butterflies, and the Ruby-Throated hummingbird.
Tea of Bergamot leaves is said to aid the body in fighting infection and low fevers. The smell and consumption of Bee Balm may relaxing the spirit.*
