Blue Muffin Arrowwood Viburnum is a multi-stemmed native deciduous shrub with a compact rounded habit. Its glossy, toothed green foliage has a varying fall color yellow, to orange or red. Flat-topped clusters of white flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by bright blue drupes in summer that persist in winter. Flowers best in loamy, moist well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established. 'Chicago Lustre' is a recommended cultivar to cross-pollinate with to produce berries.
Viburnum dentatum also acts as a host for the Spring Azure butterfly.
