Akadama Hydrangea is a deciduous shrub with glossy serrated deep green leaves that turns burgundy in fall and cool springs. The lacecap flowers open dark pink and deepen in color as they age to near red, and bloom for two months from late spring into summer. The flowers attract butterflies, Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
