Culver's Root is a tall upright native herbaceous perennial with erect stalks and whorls of grey-green lance shaped leaves. Long slender raceme of dense white flowers bloom in late spring into summer, and can experience another bloom in fall if deadheaded. Prefers afternoon shade in the South and moist to wet well-drained soil.
Veronicastrum virginicum is a host for the Culver's Root Borer Moth and provides nectar for several butterflies and bees.
