Winter's Star Camellia is a full-sized evergreen shrub with a rounded habit and glossy leaves that stay deep green year-round. Winter’s Star Camellia has pale violet-pink flowers with a yellow stamen that blooms for 4-6 weeks in fall into winter which attracts butterflies. Best blooms occur in partial sun and acidic, well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Too much water retention can increase susceptibility to fungal diseases, including root rot, black mold, blight, canker, anthracnose, and leaf spots. Watch for aphids and spider mites. Yellowing leaves indicate acidity too low. When flowers are too dense to fully open, prune dead or weak wood.
