Candlebra Hydrangea is a mounding deciduous shrub with upright dark red stems sporting medium green foliage. A profuse flowering of lose conical panicles that open creamy white and mature to dark pink begins in mid summer before eventually fading to tan. The blooms persist well into fall attracting butterflies. While can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.
