Apollo Winterberry is a slow-growing upright deciduous shrub with an open rounded habit and toothed green foliage that emerges with burgundy tints. Apollo is a male pollinator for late flowering Winterberries and Sparkleberries. Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.
