Hartlage Wine Sweetshrub is a large dense deciduous shrub with an upright mounding habit. The large glossy bright green leaves turn yellow in fall. Huge fragrant magnolia-like flowers that open maroon and age to wine-red bloom from midsummer until the first frost. Grows best in full sun and moist, well-drained acidic soils.
