Red Flame Switch Grass is a compact, native warm-season ornamental grass with fine blue-green foliage that turns wine red by the end of summer. In summer stems holding airy clusters create a cloud of tiny pink-tinged flowers above the foliage which turn brown in fall and persist through winter. Prefers part sun and moist well-drained soils.
