Doone Valley Lemon Thyme is a culinary evergreen perennial grown for its dense dark green lemon scented and flavored foliage that are tipped with gold in fall and winter. Its thin woody stems sport fragrant pale pink flowers that bloom through summer attracting butterflies. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soil. Tolerates moderate foot traffic.
Lemon Thyme's leaves can be used as an antiseptic and disinfectant. Essential oils from the leaves are less of an irritant than other Thymes and is often used for aromatherapy for asthma and other respiratory issues.*
