Othello Leopard Plant is a shade loving herbaceous perennial that forms a basal mound of leathery rounded dark foliage on long stocks. New foliage emerges purplish-red and matures to dark brown green and fine burgundy veins on top with purplish undersides. Small orange-yellow daisy like flowers bloom in mid summer. Best color in full sun and rich moist well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Do not let soils dry out. Even with adaquate moisture, foliage may wilt in hot summers (but will recover at night), especially if in too much sun. Watch for slugs and snails.
