Crimson Queen Japanese Maple is a stunning small deciduous tree known for its cascading, weeping habit and deep red foliage. Its leaves emerge in spring with a vibrant crimson color, which holds well throughout the summer months. In the fall, the foliage often transitions to a rich burgundy or scarlet, creating a striking display of autumn colors. Grows best in rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Prefers full sun in cooler climates, but needs afternoon shade in southern areas.
