Miss Manners Obedient Plant is a native compact clump-forming perennial with sturdy square stems and sharp toothed foliage. Dense spikes of white snapdragon-like flowers bloom through summer. Flowers best with full sun and moist to wet, well-drained acidic soils. Miss Manners is less prone to flopping then the species and is less aggressive.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Plants tend to flop in too rich soil, too much shade or hot temperatures. Taller stems may need staking. Rust is an occasional problem, and watch for spider mites and aphids. Can be an aggressive spreader.
