October Magic Orchid Camellia is a compact evergreen  shrub with a tight upright habit and lush glossy deep green foliage.   Fragrant semi-double blush pink flowers with darker pink edges and prominent yellow stamen bloom in late fall attracting butterflies.  Best blooms occur in partial sun and acidic, well-drained soil.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant. Water regularly, but needs well-draining and mildly acidic soils.  Too much water retention can increase susceptibility to fungal diseases.  Yellowing leaves indicates acidity too low.  When flowers are too dense to fully open, prune dead or weak wood.

LANDSCAPE USES: Specimen or Mass Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Foundation Plantings, Hedges, and Containers.
