Achillea x 'Coronation Gold'

Coronation Gold Yarrow is a herbaceous perennial with fine, feathery silver green aromatic foliage. It boasts flat clusters of vibrant golden-yellow flowers in summer that are highly attractive to pollinators. The flowers also make excellent cut flowers for arrangements.  An excellent cut flower that retains color when dried.  Heat and drought tolerant.  Prefers full sun and well-drained soils. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  Stems tend to flop if grown in rich, moist soils.  Taller stems may need staking if grown in light shade.  Can cut back in spring before bloom to reduce height, or after to encourage additional bloom.  Stem rot, rust, and powdery mildew can be an occasional issue.  

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Gardens, Rock Gardens, Xeriscape, Cutting Gardens, and Containers.
