Clematis viticella 'Polish Spirit'

Polish Spirit Clematis is a vigorous compact deciduous climbing  perennial vine with medium green foliage that blooms on both old and new wood.  The velvet purple flowers and white anthers bloom from mid summer into fall.  Prefers  full sun and moist well-drained soil.  Needs support.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Susceptible to wilt and stem rot, which can be fatal.  Other potential diseases include powdery mildew, leaf spots, and rust. Potential insect pests include aphids, vine weevils, slugs/snails, scale and earwigs. Watch for spider mites. If possible, plant the roots in the area with afternoon shade and climb the foliage into full sun for best results.
