Leucanthemum superbum 'Real Sunbeam'

Real Sunbeam Shasta Daisy is a compact fast-growing perennial with a dense mounding habit and long bloom season.  Its coarse, leathery dark green foliage is topped with heavy blooms of large butter yellow flowers with golden centers on that bloom through summer.  Regular deadheading can extend the bloom into fall.  Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.  Real Sunbeam has improved disease resistance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance. Pinch back stems as needed to control height.  Cut back to 6" after flowering and mulch.  Aphids, thrips and spider mites may cause significant damage. Potential disease problems include Botrytis, leaf spots, rust, powdery mildew, stem and root rots, verticillium wilt, aster yellows, and viruses.

 LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, and Containers.
