Bloody Cranesbill is a low-growing evergreen herbaceous perennial with trailing stems holding rich green foliage that turns red after the first frost. Masses of magenta to purple crimson flowers with darker veins bloom on long stems come late spring. Flowers best in part shade and moist, well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Can tolerate full sun if soils kept consistently moist, otherwise will experience decline in hot summers. Lightly sheared back after flowering to revitalize the plant if declined. Some susceptibility to leaf spots and rusts
