Prelude Pieris is a dwarf spreading evergreen shrub with pink new growth that matures to a glossy dark green. The pink buds open to drooping white bell-flower clusters that bloom in spring. Best bloom in part sun with slightly acidic and moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Water regularly. Remove spent flowers immediately. Lace bug infections can be a serious problem. Watch for scale, mites, and nematodes. Dieback and leaf spots are occasional problems.
